Day Fifteen: A Town Called Bram
In addition to being very beautiful, the Ariege is also a department of silly village names. I've passed through Fanjeaux, Bram, Villeiscicle and Jordy-les-Vignes.
I well and truly overdid it today in the Catharist chateau department. I meant to do one or two in the morning and then circle back to Foix for the afternoon. But each one had a sign saying another was nearby, and so thusly led by my nose I saw Puivert, Puilarens, Queribus and Peyrepetuse until I said no more. Now they've blended into one awesome-silhouette-on-the-craggy-heights, except for Puivert, which is in pleasanter countryside and I spent the most time there because it was first.
