Cantica Gaudia
Ordinary Time, Fall: Sunday Noonday Prayer
Opening: Alleluia. The Spirit of the Lord renews the face of the earth.
Psalm: Praise the Beloved!
Sing a joy-filled song praising
the Blessed One among the people!
Be glad in the Creator,
rejoice in Love Divine!Praise the Holy One with dancing,
with melodies and voice!
For the Beloved dwells within,
journeying with us through all our lives,
Leading us in truth and love.
The humble are adorned with honor;
the faithful exult in glory, singing for joy with thankful hearts!
With truth on our tongues,
with gratitude as our friend,
We are in harmony with the universe,
as we hold hands with all the people.
The chains of oppression are broken
the fetters of injustice unbound.
The realm of Peace and Love shall reign!
Glory abides with those who are faith-filled.
Praise the Beloved!
All people on earth, welcome
Love’s Companioning Presence into your hearts!Reading: I make the effort
to maintain a ground of oceanic silence
out of which arises the multitude
of phenomena of daily life.I make the effort
to see and to passionately open in love
to the spirit that infuses all things.I make the effort
to see the Beloved in everyone
and to serve the Beloved through everyone
(including the earth).I often fail in this aspirations
because I lose the balance
between separateness and unity,
get lost in my separateness
and feel afraid. But I make the effort.
The Lord’s Prayer
Creator of all,
Alive in all things and greater than all things,
Your naming be held holy.
Your vision of our goodness be made manifest throughout the universe,
And your desires for us brought to fulfillment.
Give us that which is essential for our growth and work.
Offer forgiveness and healing to us as we forgive and heal those around us.
Protect us from unnecessary suffering and wasteful pain.
For all that is beautiful, strong and glorious has its roots in you
and expresses your will and your nature, which we share in, unendingly. Amen.Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for the abundance of blessings you shower upon us. Forgive us for the many ways we have turned your gifts into our achievements, and so forgotten your generosity. Open our eyes to see that everything is a gift, and that every gift is to be shared for your glory. Amen.
Going Forth: Let us go forth rejoicing in God's love and proclaiming the Good News.
