Sabbatical Two: That Sassy Jacobean Attitude
Gardens, graveyards, Elizabethan great houses, theatre and literary pilgrimage spots -- my plan for my three weeks in England was to do everything I like best in the world. I spent ten days in London, and then in a rented car toodled through the southeastern counties, making base camps near Canterbury, Bath and Stratford.
I’ve placed some links with information about the various sites I visited, along with whatever tales I have to tell and pictures to share. There’s also a bibliography of books that either helped me find these places, or illustrate the significance of them.
